English rules

Radioclub Bergantiños HQ, created the First edition “XYL Test”

Date and time: 07:00 to 21:59 UTC, October 21

Bands and modes: SSB, 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80 meters, not being able to repeat contact with the same station in the same band. Band segments recommended by the IARU for this type of event will be applied, SSB for HF.

Call: “CQ YL Contest”

Exchange:

  • The XYL stations send RST and serial number starting with 001 and YL control.
  • All other stations send RST and serial number starting with 001 and OM control.

Valid contacts: You can be contacted at any station in the world. 

  • QSO with XYL stations, (3 points)
  • QSO with other stations (1 point)

In order for a QSO to be valid, the information exchanged must match, in both logs.

Final Score: Will be the sum of the total points obtained at the end of the contest.

Prizes: 

– Stations OM:

  • Trophy: First winner (total of points)
  • Award: Top 20 classified (PDF)

– Stations XYL:

  • Trophy: First winner (total of points)
  • Award: Certificate of participation all XYL stations (PDF)

Logs: The files, once checked, will be sent by email, as an attachment and without using compressors to the address: xyl@radioclubbergantiños.es

In the field “SUBJECT”, or title of the message, it will be indicated: “XXXXXX” (to replace the X by the callsign used in the contest).

The attached file will be called XXXXXX.log (replace the X with the callsign used in the contest).

Only logs in cabrillo format will be accepted, and received through the mail indicated above. Logs must be received by October 29, 2017. Any log submitted after that date will be rejected.

They are not valid for any effect, logs received with less than 10 QSO.

Results: They will be published on the Radioclub Bergantiños website. www.radioclubbergantiños.es/xyl )

Once published the final results, the staff will contact the winner stations to specify the sending trophy.

Notes:

  • Clustering is allowed, but it is prohibited to self-advertise or ask third parties to advertise. Undercover ads or any announcements from participating stations will be grounds for disqualification.
  • In case of a tie, the winner will be the operator who has contacted more XYL stations.

 

Final disposition : The decisions that the Radioclub Bergantiños can take in defense of the good practices will be unappealable.
